(some) Visitors Welcome

For the next couple of weeks, this is what our house will be like. We are expecting nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and in laws. We can't wait. The hubby and I have been busy getting rooms ready. We are pretty much set. Now comes the fun part, the entertainment. Anyone have any ideas? Places to go visit and see? I'm sure we will do the regular stuff, mountains, Park City, and eat non stop.

It will be alot of fun. I just hope when they made their reservations on line, they noticed that at this B&B, you make your own bed & breakfast in the morning & help yourself to fresh towels from the linen closet.
My niece requested that she party all day & night. She is so coming to the wrong B&B. Does she mean balloons & streamers?? (She's 17, go figure.) I WILL be checking her for a fake ID & I will hide the car keys!
I know my nephew already requested a King size bed for his twin size body. I told him there is a Ramada Inn down the street that has those amenities just for him.
(at a fee he can not afford at the age of 12) My brother has always had this saying, and he better teach it to his grandson. "If it's free, it's for me". But the only thing his grandson is learning from his "Tata" (Grandpa)is that Tata has deep pockets. LOL.

Hubby's Birthday

Ok, I fell in love with a younger man. He reminds me 6 months out of the year how young he is & how "old" I am. Finally this month he has caught up to me & we share the same age.
You might ask what WE did to celebrate his big day. Well, He & my dad drove over to Nevada & then my son met them later on that day. For what you ask? A big weekend of gambling & wild adventures? No, a day of racing in the desert what else?
Finally, they drove home on sunday & I decided to have the family over for a BBQ. He needs a birthday party after all!! So my daughter in law made him some brownies (he LOVES chocolate) and he got to play with his grandkids.

It was the best birthday!! Can you guess why? Just look at those cute faces!!

Welcome Home

After 2 restless nights of sleep and an all(2) day search by the hubby, our dog has been found. On Monday morning I got a phone call from a very nice lady saying that she had found our dog & had it until she could get ahold of the city to get our phone number off the city tags. She was worried that she might get out on the busy street & get hit. She said our dog had roamed into her backyard to "visit" with her 2 hunting dogs. After making 2 new "friends", our dog thought she could just hang out for awhile.(All weekend)!!
Where had she wandered to you ask??? Only 4 houses down the street from us. We knew she wouldn't go to far. And I'm sure when we were out yelling for her, she ignored us and just kept playing in the backyard with her new friends.
We are glad to have her back. She doesn't even seem to really miss us. She acts like she was just having a 2 night sleep over. Well I can tell you my hubby is glad she's back. He can finally sleep. He worries about his "other kids" way to much. I knew she would return, as she knows who spoils her rotten.

Missing.

Have you seen our dog? She's been missing now for 2 days. We are so sad.

She dug a hole under the gate & took off. She has dug out before, but always just stayed in the front yard or sit's on the front porch. She is an indoor dog, so she wasn't outside for very long. We have searched the neighborhood and then some. My husband went out saturday night and then most of sunday morning hunting for her.
Our only hope is that someone found her & put her in their yard until the dog catcher can pick her up on Monday & then hopefully they will call us. She has all her tags & she is chipped. If and when we get her back, her next tag is our phone number.

Babysitting

Seems like everytime I'm asked to babysit, I just can't say no. (And of course I don't think I ever will). So what does a Grandmother do for several hours while babysitting? Especially when the weather outside is fantastic!!!

We make funny faces at Grandma. And of course we look adorable for Grandma.

Then as the day comes to an end, we start to calm down & just cuddle a little.

And when all is said and done, she get's her little bear and a bottle and she has a party in her crib. Well, it could also be called "re-charging" for tomorrow.

Now you see why I can never say "no". She's just to darn cute!!!

New dishwasher wanted

Ok, I'm really going to show my age, but do you remember Madge the Palmolive Dishwashing lady? How about the phrase "Your soaking in it" ??

Well, my dishwasher broke this week & I had to unload a dishwasher FULL of dirty dishes & wash them all by hand. I almost forgot how to. LOL.
When the hubby said he couldn't fix it, I said I guess I will see if I can find a new one that I like.
His reply " The "GE" has been replaced with "NB"and it's working just fine"!! (NB being me)

I told him not to quit his day job. He's not very funny!

My little garden

To my surprise, I went outside last night & found something growing in my garden.
I don't remember planting it there, but it just sprouted up within minutes.

Now if only my tomatoes, peppers & cucumbers would grow like that.

Poor Lindsay

NOT!!! Finally that girl get's what she should of got a long time ago.

She thinks just because she's a "Child of Hollywood" that she should be able
to violate her probation, miss court dates, party, drive drunk and/or high, fight with people, miss her court ordered classes in a alcohol treatment program (oh, I'm really suppose to go to those)??
She told the judge she did the best that she could & was sorry. Well the judge isn't buying it baby! The judge said her apology was insincere and she will report to jail on July 20th.
On that day, I will raise my glass & toast Linday. "Here's to you wishing you were a young kid again who didn't get in trouble".
