Thanksgiving

I'm thankful for a husband who is good to me and who takes time for the little stuff...like teaching our grandson how to get the big end of the "wishbone".

Thankful for my parents & all they do for ALL of us.
Even when it's to cold to come out, they still do. (real reason: to see the great-grandkids)

I'm thankful for my sons & my daughter in laws. How we love them all & just wish we had more time with them.

**notice my grandkids are not wearing shoes or socks! Grandma had on socks & nice warm slippers!! It was snowing outside!!**

I am SOOOO thankful for my GRANDKIDS! They fill my heart with happiness & joy. And most of all LOVE.

I am truly thankful for such a great family that God has blessed me with.

Happy Birthday to my Sister in law

Someone is celebrating a birthday this weekend in Vegas baby!! I sure hope after your past busy months, that you got to finally put your feet up & relax.

When I say busy, I mean busy. She couldn't even take a picture with her brother without being on the phone. I think she was ordering feed or belt buckles or crowns....who knows. LOL

Hope you won big!! And if you did, don't forget who loves you the most!!!

Cattle Call

What a weekend. It was none stop. We got to California around noon on thursday & we never stopped to rest. Got into town & dropped off suitcases & picked up our young niece & headed out to the Tri Tip BBQ they hold every thursday before Cattle Call & "The Bell Game".
As soon as I walked in the door I saw friends and old co-workers.It was hugs & catching up from the time I walked in the door until we left. The hubby gave up & went & sat at the table with the Cattle Call Queen & his sister. He knows how I get when I go back to Cali to visit.

The next day the Queen & her court had to go & talk at 2 different schools. So I decided to go & watch the girls talk to the little kids. Should be interesting. I walk onto the school grounds that were packed with kids & parents & I run into 2 teachers who asked what am I doing in town & what am I doing at this school. LOL.

Next was lunch with the girls & an officer I use to work with. We would always do lunch on Mondays years ago. It was a given & who ever showed up, showed up. We always had a blast. And of course we were missing a few regulars.

After lunch I did some running around & then went & grabbed my niece's & we went down to the arena to watch the Queen & her court practice. By the time I got them all gathered up, practice was over. We got there mid afternoon & left after dark. The girls were excited that they got to take pictures & get autographs from the Queen & her court. Oh, and they got to pet horses, which made the event that much better.

Saturday morning came VERY early. Trying to get from point A to point B is really hard on parade day. We made it to horse drop off point & waited for
the parade to start.
The Queen & her court were entry #6, so as soon as she took off, so did we. Down alley's & back streets I made it to middle of town where I knew my brother & his family were. He had bleacher seats, we just stood in the back causing trouble.

After the exciting parade, we rushed out for a bite to eat & then headed to the arena for the rodeo. We had such a good time with my brother & his family.

And then towards the end, look who found us. The three of us have known each other since grade school. We just were missing the other 4th musketeer. (she's the one that's in the blog dated Nov. 7th)

(Look at my little niece in the background trying to look sly. She's funny!!)

My husband & I had a great time! Like always, it goes by to fast. Now I can't wait for our "girls weekend trip" in _________.

Growing up neighbors & friends

Growing up we had a neighbor across the alley that I spent alot of time with.
We went to school together & we use to walk down to the liquor store to buy candy & ice cream. We use to beg her oldest brother Bo to take us "cruising". After all, what "cool guy" wants to cruise up & down Main St with his little sister & her girlfriend? Or remember we would also ask if we could sit in his truck & talk on the "CB Radio". LOL, his reply was usually 'NO" to both request.

Now her oldest sister would beg us to go stalking...I mean cruising with her by the local fire department to look at "hot guys"...I mean just one guy. It didn't matter how late at night it was, PJ's and all, off we would go.

Also our mom's worked at the elementary schools together. After they both retired they still would talk on the phone, or talk out in the alley. They did this until her mom finally moved back east to be with her daughter. So last month they decided to fly out to San Diego & back home for a quick visit & then up to Utah to visit their grandson/nephew who is stationed at HAFB. I was so excited when she said she was coming to town, I was marking the days on the calendar till they arrived.

We had a blast.
I already miss you, but not real happy u talked me into FB. Look, already I have ignored my blog for a whole week. But I love my blog. It is so much easier than FB. LOL.

Oh, and look what I found....I am going on a hunting spree for old pictures. I found a bunch. It's not a very good copy, but it will do for now. :)

I so miss the four of us hanging out together. Love ya!!
