Don't be afraid to comment

OK, this is for those of you that read, but don't share the comment love as Emily would say.
Some of you email me & say you can't comment. Well, this is for you. I will take you step by step and show you how to post a comment.

At the bottom of this little post, there will be a little "comments". You place your little cursor/mouse on comments & "click".

This will open up a box that says "Leave your comment". This is were you type your "comment love" about the post. (this is where u might want to type "Your the greatest sister & your blog rocks"!! RJ. Or something as simple as "HI". Then it has a word verification box & you just type in the letters it shows above that box. SO EASY. Then it says to "Choose an identity". Just click the little circle next to Anonymous. (but sign your name in your post).
Then click "Publish your comment". Sometimes you have to do it twice to get it to work, BUT IT WORKS!!
OK....Now, share your comment love & post me a comment on how easy this was!!

It's a boy....nope, another girl.

Here is a picture of my niece and her son & 3 girls (to her left) & her niece.(on her right) This was taken in October when we were down visiting & they were getting ready to go out & watch my great nephew race. (her son). She was 6 months pregnant & didn't even tell us. Well ok, she didn't tell anyone, but that's just her. She's very quite.

Around Christmas we found out she was expecting. And then in early January my sister in law (her mom) told us she was expecting a boy.
Well guess what
. Her daughter was born last week. Guess those doctors are not always right. Well I hope my great nephew doesn't tell this little sister that the Fed Ex truck stopped at their house & left her on the door-step!!

Congradulations to my niece. Hope to see the new little one soon.

Score now:

Life Sucks right now!

Can I just say I want to insert my "No Right Turn" post again?
Why is this year starting out so bad? I'm hate'n things that are
going on in my small little iddy-bitty world! I guess when people know
they can crap all over you, they do & they enjoy the hell out of it. What more
can I say. My life sucks right now & I'm not sure it's going to get any better.

I think I need a day with my grandkids, but I don't see that happening either.

Racing in sunny Arizona

Brrrrr. Doesn't this look cold. This is what was on the ground as we drove south of our state, heading towards Sunny Arizona. Someone wanted to go & race 250 miles in the open sunny desert. I just wanted to get out of the haze & 30 degree weather. What can I say?

Ok, it was a little over-cast/cloudy when we arrived, but we didn't have to wear our parka's outside. It was nice t-shirt and/or lite weight hoodie weather.
First job of the day, getting signed up. You have to sign so many forms & read page after page before the fun begins.
Then u have to go & get your bike all checked out & make sure it's not some piece of junk u just put together at the last minute.
After all that, it's a quick bite to eat, then a "Riders Meeting" where u go & listen to all the rules & outline of the coarse. After that, it's off to bed as your wake up call is 4:30am! Then off to the starting line, as when that sun comes up, the first motorcycle takes off. Then u just wait your turn.
The adrenalin is now a pump'n. You're waiting on that starting line for a green light to give u the "Go". And then it's 250 miles of open desert that you begin your journey on. Gas wide open & nothing but you & the wind.
(Oops double post & I can't delete the 2nd photo)

What can we say? It was a lot of fun & a lot of haul'n butt. And after almost 200 miles, the engine blows & your day is done. No checkered flag & no speech at the end of your ride. Just war stories.

A big Thank You to those that came & help with gas & water. It was a fun day even though it could of been better. And at the end you get to pose with one of your biggest fans, who can't wait to turn 15 so he can race with his cousin.

No Right Turn

As some of you know, I have not been able to do a dang thing right for some time now. No matter how hard I try, things just seem to fall apart for me.
So I am going to try really hard to get things right.
No more pity party for me!! I am going to suck it up & make only
right turns from here on out! (or at least die trying). If by chance
I don't succeed, I will need the following items:

(bear hug or group hug optional)

I can't even blog correctly. I posted the wrong freaking sign!! I need an erase button quick!!! I give up. I'm going to bed & hopefully when I wake up, I will feel much better.

Moving In

Oh Boy. Moving. We've all been there. The box hunting, the packing, marking the boxes correctly. Before all that, you first have to fine a house & that is what my son, DIL & little granddaughter have done. They found their first "HOME".

After all the hunting, paperwork, headaches & getting ready for the keys, then came renovation day. (week) My son, DIL, family & friends started gutting the house. Sorry I did not get any pictures of the bare house, but did manage to remember to take a few pictures of paint day, laying of hard wood floors And....sweat your butt off, not so fun picture. That's just the upstairs main floor fun. They still had another downstairs adventure. Which will be the main family room of fun.

They have the floors all done, carpet all in. Walls all painted. furniture all in. Now comes what my DIL does really well and that is decorate and get things in order. I will post more pictures when it is all done. It's a beautiful place & I'm sure they will fill it with love and laughter.

California Rock'n

I was awaken this afternoon by a text from my BFF Sandra saying that back home they have been rock'n and roll'n all day! Granted she is now living in Central California and we were raised in Southern California.

Of course worried, I call my brother right away who says that he hasn't felt a thing & that Sandra must of had a liquid lunch at Pedro's Bar & Grill.

Now, not only am I awaken from sleep, which would make me somewhat comatose, but I'm now getting two different stories from people I love.

One lives there & one doesn't, but has lots of family members to tell her what is going on. What does one do? She's goes to Caltech.com !!!

Low and behold, at approx 10:48am and about 23 miles SE of my BROTHER, there was a 5.8 earthquake! And then EXACTLY 5 minutes later they had a 4.8 and 9 minuates later 4.0

I just counted & since the 4.0 quake at 11:07am, they have had 42 more quakes. The last one was at 14:27 which measured 2.4 Not sure right now where I would rather be. Getting ready to go shovel snow that has been falling for the past 24 hours, or rock'n and roll'n in 60+ degree weather. Hmmmm

Welcome

This is how I feel right now about updating my blog. What have I got myself
into? I have to come up with something cute and inspiring to write about.

How about I just say "I'm trying" and that I'll just post something cute for right now? Hmmm, I wonder what I could find in my photobucket that might do the trick? Gosh, this might be a tough one.

NOT!!!

I have tons of cute little pictures to post....and here are just a few of the cutest darn kids in the world.

OK, so I might be just a tad judgemental when it comes to the cutest kids, but what can I say?

Since I'm just getting back on this blog bike, please don't forget to leave a comment. I will try & update as soon as possible......which could be a life-time from now. Enjoy!

I'm Found

I found my Blog!!!! I thought it was in the cyber space graveyard.
Now I can keep up with Emily & Josh. Woo-hoo.
I think I should change my blog from Dezert to Grand....as I have more
picture's and stories of my Grandkids than my Dezert rats.

Laughlin, NV race March 3, 2007

We left snowy Utah for sunny, windy Laughlin, NV for a fun weekend of racing. Preston and Dustin teamed up again for the "Best in the Desert" race. Preston is on the bike waiting in line to start the race. Dustin is in the blue jacket. And of course Samantha wishing Preston luck at the start line. After that it's off to "stage".
Then to the "start line" and the green light. He was the 14th "PRO" bike off the line. Preston did the first 20 miles, but couldn't get a good feel of the bike. Came into the pits in 19th & handed the bike off to Dustin.
Dustin was off & then it became a game of "catch up". Dustin did his loop of just over 20 miles, and turned the bike over to Preston in 18th place. While in the pits, the crew of Coy & Warren did a few adjustments to the suspention. After that, the bike ran great in the "woops".
Preston got on the bike & made up 2 spots to 16th & turned it back over to Dustin. At the finish line it was 14th over-all and an unofficial 6th Pro 4 stroke finish for the team.
Here they are at the finish line where they put a microphone in your face & ask you questions about your race. The rider on the bike is worn out, that they don't say to much. Here Preston thanks his suppose team of Mom, Dad & Samantha. Also a big thanks to Dustin & his family and to their sponsor Cody from "Unlimited Glass".
And for the "cutest" back up rider Cory...who just eats up this racing and was so excited that he too got a "racing arm band" and if Preston or Dustin got hurt, it was up to him to finish out the race. We all had a blast. Next race is Knolls, Utah near the Utah/Nevada border. Preston & Chris will both race. As well as Dustin. Then in 3 weeks it's back home to California for a National Race where we hope to see everyone. Race Day is Sunday the 25th. See u there.

National Race, Lucerne, CA 2007

I'm only a month behind, but here are some pic's that Tressa took at Chris's 1st National Race of 2007. This 1st pic is Chris waiting at the starting line.
Here he is taking off at the starting line. He said he got a good start. It was a 42 mile race which took him just over an hour to finish. He only had one roll over accident, but said he jumped right up & got back on. We were so proud of him. He was about 8 minutes behind 1st place. Said there was alot of rocks to climb over. You can tell by these fews pictures at the finish line.

2nd Place Finish. January 27, 2007 Lucerne Valley, CA

Chris also finished 2nd at the 2nd National Hare & Hound Race held on Feb. 10, 2007 in Ridgecrest, CA. That same weekend he raced a WORCS race the day before in Altadona, CA (not sure on the name of the little town outside of Victorville, CA). I believe he finished 8th. The motocross track he did not enjoy, but his dad said he kicked butt out in the desert part, and then the moto track would beat him up. Oh well. I have no pictures to post from that race, as only Coy & Chris went, and Coy can not be bothered with a camera.

Next weekend Feb. 24th, Preston has a race down in St. George, UT. Forecast: RAIN

Then on March 2-4th, he has a Best in the Desert Race down in Laughlin, NV. Come and join us if you can. If not, see you at Superstition.
